Submit Information

If you've discovered errors in reference books, please use the email links below to apprise us of the errors. Understand that we must be able to independently verify all errors. To avoid repetitious submissions of preexisting error corrections, please check errors in reference books to ensure we haven't previously addressed the error.

If you've completed detailed biographical or genealogy research on any celebrated individual, we encourage you to share your findings with us. If you've done exhaustive biographical or genealogy research and discovered errors online or in reference books, we implore you to share all your data with us. Please supply supporting verification or documentation.

SUBMIT SOURCE DATA

If you have access to biographical source info such as celebrity birth certificates, celebrity death certificates, or marriage certificates for individuals of accomplishment, please consider sending us photocopies. Source information on celebrated individuals in all fields: actors, actresses, singers, songwriters, composers, dancers, musicians, philosophers, writers, producers, directors, artists, sports personalities, royalty, scientists, explorers, business leaders, politicians, and military leaders, among others, is always welcome.

CORRECT OR REPUDIATE DATA about yourself, a relative or client

If you're a prominent individual in one of the above fields, and have discovered erroneous biographical information about yourself in print or online, and would like to see that data corrected, and publicly repudiate the flawed info, please provide source documentation to substantiate your assertion by following the submission guidelines below.
Likewise, if you're the relative, descendant or representative of a notable personality, and have come across incorrect biographical information in print or online, and would like to see that data eradicated, please provide source information such as a copy of the individual's birth certificate, death certificate, marriage certificate, or other documentation to authenticate your assertion.

Visit our correct biographical data about yourself, a relative, ancestor or client page for complete information.

If you have an older collection of celebrity obituary clippings, we encourage you to donate them to our organization.

Photocopies of older (pre-1993) celebrity obituaries, and detailed biographical sketches, are also welcome. Please note the following submission guidelines.

We appreciate all submissions of biographical information on celebrated individuals, but please refrain from offering data that you "heard" or that someone "remembers."
Source information taken from documents such as birth certificates, or birth records such as baptismal certificates, drivers license, or death certificates is always preferred. Please supply supporting verification or documentation, if available.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We are pleased to accept submissions of information for our database and Web site. The information and corrections we receive from users help make the internet a more accurate, less frustrating experience for all.

Please read the following guidelines for submissions.

Simply email copies of any celebrity birth certificates, death certificates, older (pre-1993) celebrity obituaries, or detailed biographical sketches you'd like to share with us.
Firsthand biographical information and source data, such as information taken from birth certificates, baptismal certificates, drivers license, and death certificates, is always preferred over the more common, and far less accurate second-hand info.

Please take a moment to carefully proofread what you are submitting, particularly the exact spelling of names (people and places) and dates. Errors in these areas are a constant headache for everyone who does historical research.

Biographical submissions should include the following (if possible):

* NAME by which the subject is popularly known.

* Individual's FULL NAME, maiden or original name at birth.

* Individual's OCCUPATION along with major awards won and two or three of their best-known credits.

* Individual's DATE OF BIRTH and precise TIME OF BIRTH (local time).

* CITY and STATE where the individual's birth took place, and ADDRESS or NAME OF HOSPITAL where the birth occurred.

(To ensure 100% accuracy, please be precise. If the subject was born in a suburb, such as Van Nuys or Glendora, please indicate this. Do not generically list the birthplace as Los Angeles, unless he/she was born within L.A. city limits. Likewise, if the subject was born in New York City, specify the borough. Please, always try and supply the address or name of hospital where the birth occurred)

* Individual's DATE and precise TIME OF DEATH (local time).

* CITY and STATE where the individual died, along with the ADDRESS or NAME OF HOSPITAL where the death occurred.

(Again, to ensure 100% accuracy, please be precise. If the subject died in a suburb, such as Alhambra, or Encino, please indicate this. Do not generically list the place of death as Los Angeles, unless he/she died within L.A. city limits. Likewise, if the subject died in New York City, specify the borough. Please, always try and supply the address or name of hospital where the death occurred)

* The individual's precise medical CAUSE OF DEATH.

* NAMES of all SPOUSES, along with precise dates for each marriage, and the date each divorce was final. Also include the precise location where each marriage took place.

* NAMES of all CHILDREN along with their date and place of birth and date and place of death.

* Full NAMES of both parents along with their date and place of birth and date and place of death. If at all possible, please provide the main occupation of each parent as well.

* Full NAMES of all siblings along with their date and place of birth and date and place of death.

Again, please take a moment to carefully proofread any and all submitted data before you send it. If citing a reference work or microfilmed newspapers, please enclose a copy of the cited work.
