Cordelia Knott |
|
Cordelia Knott was an American businesswoman, amusement
park pioneer, and co-founder (along with husband Walter Knott)
of Knott's Berry Farm. Knott's is the oldest and one of
the largest themed amusement parks in the United States.
Cordelia established what would become the world's largest
chicken restaurant (eventually serving well over a million
chicken dinners each year) back in 1934, at the future
site of the Knott's Berry Farm amusement park in Buena Park,
California.
Cordelia Knott also found great success making
and selling boysenberry pies, jams and jellies
utilizing the berries her husband originally help
cultivate and popularize.
