"Buffalo Bill" Cody

Buffalo Bill Cody was an American Wild West frontiersman who founded the town of Cody, Wyoming. William Frederick Cody was also a showman who helped popularize the world's romantic image of the American West with his traveling "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show." He was a winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor, a Pony Express rider, sharpshooter and frontier scout.

Error correction or clarification

* The town of his birth is not "Le Clair" as some sources report. It's actually spelled Le Claire. Also, he was not born in 1845 as he states in his autobiography.
