Virginia Knott Bender |
|
Virginia Knott Bender was an American businesswoman,
and an amusement park pioneer who founded the country's
first theme park souvenir shop at what was then a small
berry patch and restaurant in Buena Park, but later
developed into one of Southern California's earliest
and most successful attractions.
She later became co-owner of Knott's Berry Farm, the
oldest and one of the largest themed amusement parks
in the United States. Virginia was the daughter of
Knott's founders, Walter and
Cordelia Knott.
