Walter Beech |

Walter Beech was an American aviation pioneer, and member of
the Aviation Hall of Fame.
After years of working with other pioneers of
aviation, Walter and his wife, Olive Ann Beech,
founded the Beech Aircraft Company in Wichita,
Kansas, in 1932. Many of his early planes set
numerous distance and air speed records. During
World War II, Beech produced thousands of airplanes
for the U.S. military. Following the war, he found
immediate success with the popular Beechcraft
Bonanza planes. They would become a standard-bearer
as an executive and family aircraft renowned
for their value.
