Lucky Baldwin |

Lucky Baldwin was a California pioneer who
founded the California city of Arcadia,
as well as the original Santa Anita racetrack.
His vast land holdings included 62,000
acres on which Monrovia, Baldwin Park
and several other San Gabriel Valley
cities were later founded.
Lucky Baldwin was also responsible for
popularizing Lake Tahoe as a casino/resort/vacation
destination.
